Shrimp Swimming Habits

Did you know that shrimp have different methods of swimming to adapt to their environments? To make a fast get away from their predators, shrimp will use tail flipping to rapidly flex their tail and propel themselves through the water. When in search of food or prey, shrimp will use the power of their swimmerets to move along the ocean floor and in the open water. One last interesting fact...shrimp can move both backwards and forwards through the water!
